Northwoods maintains a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, heartworm preventatives and flea control to meet the needs of your pet. When those medications are not directly available, or when our clients would prefer, our doctors are happy to provide you with a written prescription to be filled by the pharmacy of your choice. We are happy to phone in a prescription to your pharmacy. However, we cannot authorize prescriptions with online pharmacies due to hospital policy.

How do we prevent? Heartworm prevention is given by a monthly oral tablet or topical dose. Year-round prevention is key to the well-being of your pet. It is important that indoor pets are on heartworm prevention, since a single mosquitos bite can lead to infection.
