Receptionist

Our receptionists are responsible for answering all incoming phone calls, setting appointments and answering client inquiries regarding basic pet care, hospital policies and pet care products.  Additionally, they are responsible for greeting all clients, escorting clients and patients to exam rooms and updating client/patient information into the computer system.  The ideal candidate will have a kind, professional attitude, display tact and diplomacy when dealing with staff and clients and express a genuine liking for animals and working in an animal care environment.

Kennel Staff

 
Kennel staff members are responsible for proper feeding and care of all hospitalized or boarded animals, including cleanliness of cages, runs and hospital work areas including outside grounds.  They must have a valid drivers license and a reliable form of transportation and be able to lift and carry animals (will be assisted when lifting animals weighing more than 40 pounds).  Additionally, all kennel staff applicants must be willing to work on weekends and holidays.  Kennel staff are responsible for receiving animals into the hospital, properly identifying each animal, recording and storing their medications, personal belongings and grooming needs.  They are required to administer most medications as needed for each boarding patient. 

Veterinary Nurses

The veterinary nurse are the doctor's primary medical support person. Once the pets are in the exam room, they begin the examination procedure and continue to assist the doctor throughout the examination, diagnosis and treatment phases. They aid the doctors in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work and administrative detail.  They have a significant role in communicating with clients about their pets.  Nurses must be able to stay calm and efficient during medical emergencies.  They must have excellent communication skills and conduct themselves in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
