Melissa Hudson, DVM, DABVP |

Dr. Melissa attended North Carolina State University, where she earned her B.S. in Poultry Science in 1989. She attended the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine and received her DVM in 1993. Additionally, Dr. Melissa is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, meaning she has undergone a certification process by demonstrating high standards of quality in the practice of veterinary medicine. In 2005, she took over as Practice Owner of Northwoods Animal Hospital when Dr. Dan Hudson, her father, retired.

In 1999, Dr. Christy joined the Northwoods team as a veterinary assistant. She graduated from NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and immediately returned to Northwoods as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Christy is an avid hiker and enjoys camping in the mountains with her husband, Chad, and two dogs, Nugget and Brendon. |

Dr. Matson graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She worked with an Animal Emergency Clinic in Houston , TX before settling in North Carolina in 2005 with her husband Cole, dogs, Sadie and Gus and cats, Doodles and Alex. |

In 2008, Dr. Reed came to Northwoods as an associate veterinarian. She received her B.S. in Animal Biology from the University of Florida in 1997 and her DVM from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After graduation, she completed an internship in West Los Angeles, CA. In 2003, she moved back to North Carolina where she practiced in the Apex/Cary area. Dr. Reed's special interests include soft tissue surgery and dentistry. |
